Health and wellbeing in the nordic region
The Nordic research institution, Nordregio have been studying Health & Well-being in the Nordic Region during 2018-2020. The study have centered around the following questions:
- Are the Nordic people equally healthy and happy?
- How are digital solutions improving health and well-being?
- And how can digital solutions in health care and social care contribute to regional development?
Digitalisation can overcome gaps
The results show that although the Nordic countries are performing well on many indicators related to health and wellbeing in an international comparison, there are persistent gaps between regions, socio-economic groups and gender. Digitalisation has the potential to overcome some of these gaps by improving accessibility to welfare services and thus wellbeing.
